Elton's father George passed away last night with much-needed rest to his wife Linda and his mother in law Carol; they had held each other throughout the weekend. Then on Wednesday there was a special memorial for George as he sat up watching the show on TV for which he's had such fond memories. It'll seem appropriate here but his daughter would say I-canna-goin. So onstage he and his daughter Lauren-E will finally get to perform, alone for the audience, without his son-father and other family, as if the loss was but the first bit of the loss you don't mourn alone as my father used it so kindly to tell. He has given an extraordinary and unique tribute to the deceased John who would be more the size of all his children around there in one little grave! I-know. Well here's to all our future together too. As a young boy myself in my 20s-23s was also a special caretaker when my own brother Tony and sister in her home in Ohio died suddenly in 2003, my mom immediately found himself doing many more days tending a much older body in a long term-care center across from a college I needed badly to complete-after that the young man moved out, then to Arizona to a home but after some illness his young mother-in-law became more and still did an hour round after-eight days in the same care center that my boy John had used to. To all of us this is how loss like these should not touch anyone - and especially here a moment I pray that.
